Melissa Ball

Knoxville,TN in 2011.

 

Melissa apprenticed under the tutalage of Judy Jones (M.F.A. Iowa State University in Studio Arts) owner of Judy Jones Pottery in the Arts & Crafts Community located in Gatlinburg, TN from 2002 to 2004. After completion of her apprenticeship Melissa worked for several potters in the Gatlinburg area learning a deverse set of skills that have helped her to create unique and functional pottery and sculptural items that have made Stony Clay Station the pottery business that it is today. Melissa's amazing use of both two and three dementional forms have pushed the boundaries of what can be created with high fire stoneware.
